Piperonline Gets Facelift

When Piper Products moved to Big Fat Design's Fat Admin content management system back in 2004, they invested in more than a simple website, but a flexible tool that allows their website to grow and change with their company.

Piper Products is continually innovating and obtaining new product lines and adjusting their marketing accordingly to become the premier manufacturer of food service equipment. As the company grows, so must their catalogs, literature and online presence. When Piper Products acquired Servolift Eastern in early 2006, they knew their website was going to need some major adjustments. They found the need to not only change their logo, but the entire look and feel of their website as well. What the Fat Admin solution was able to provide Piper was a site wide change that took only a few days, not weeks or months.

Fat Admin is a template drive website solution. This means that the entire site is made up of only a few files, and that the content itself is built dynamically from a database. In order to change the look and feel of a site or layout of a page, one only needs to modify the existing templates rather than re-write any of the hundreds of pages that make up Piper's website content. So, not only does Fat Admin allow Piper to add and maintain content whenever they need, but it also allows them the flexibility to change the entire look and feel of their site in a fraction of the amount of time of other website solutions.

Through Big Fat Designs, Piper was able to install the new templates in a matter of days, changing the entire presence of the company, their online marketing, and branding structure.
